As a mother of three, I am passionate about helping children to feel their best. Children’s worlds are so fast paced and full of pressures from school, social interactions and the digital world. Children now, more than ever, are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and unable to manage their feelings. Yoga and mindfulness provide a space where children learn to connect to their feelings in a safe way, allowing for better self regulation, better concentration, reduced anxiety and greater compassion and empathy for self and others. In short, yoga strengthens flexibility in children’s nervous systems and helps them to flourish! By learning these skills early, children build strong foundations for meeting life’s challenges with more ease and balance.
I work with schools, running classes and themed workshops during the school day as well as after school yoga clubs. Examples of specialised workshops I have created are yoga and mindfulness to ease pre-exam anxiety, yoga for children’s mental health awareness week and yoga for boosting confidence. I love to personalise my workshops to the specific needs of each school, year or child so please contact me and we can develop a program that suits your needs.
